Adams county veterinary services looking for additional staff

Adam’s County Veterinary Services is trying to keep up with the enormous demand for Veterinary care in Adams County and the surrounding area. Dr. Dan Meakin, between working full time in Cincinnati at All Creatures Animal Hospital and trying to see his patients at Adams County Veterinary Services in West Union, has been very busy. To keep up with the huge demand for veterinary care in Adams county, Dr. Dan is looking to hire more trained staff. Due to the limited time, we are on site in West Union, we need staff that comes to us with experience in veterinary medicine. Our positions can be part-time if the applicant desires or full-time, depending on the applicant’s availability. For example, we may need a staff member just 1 or 2 Saturdays a month to help w outpatients or perhaps every or every other Thursday/Friday to assist with surgeries. If your currently employed as a vet tech or vet assistant, and your other job allows your availability on days we are open, please contact us. Currently, our veterinary hours are all on Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays. Globally, nationally, and regionally veterinarians and trained veterinary nurses/RVTs are in scarce supply. We are hoping someone reading this is a veterinarian or an experienced veterinary tech or assistant. If so, we encourage you to consider offering Adams county vet services your assistance maybe just once or twice monthly. Working with us you can see what a difference we can make for the pets of our community. Dr. Dan and his small staff would love to provide more Veterinary care options by being open another day in the week, but we need help.

Veterinarians, registered veterinary techs, vet tech students, or veterinary assistant students are highly sought to apply with us or just come by so we can meet you. Whether you work full or part-time time at another vet hospital or have not worked in the veterinary industry in a few years, consider joining us even if for just 1 or 2 days a month to make some extra money while helping these Adams county pets in need.

I hear often from people that they have at one point worked with a veterinarian. We are seeking individuals with skills such as grooming, veno puncture, fecal analysis, animal restraint, lab testing, surgical monitoring, or assistance in surgery prep to better serve our area. Please help us bring full-time quality small animal veterinary care to the residents of Adam’s County and surrounding areas. If interested contact us at :
